Welcome to NOVA Psychological Services

NOVA Psychological Services is a health psychology practice that provides psychological services to children, teens, and young adults experiencing difficulties related to medical conditions and other overlapping psychological symptoms, including anxiety and depression.

Our team of specialty-trained pediatric psychologists provide scientifically supported treatments to help patients learn to re-engage in activities they enjoy and give their lives meaning.

Our Approach to Therapy

Our providers utilize a number of scientifically based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). We believe education is key, and as such, it is a major part of our treatment plans. By learning evidence-based techniques, your child or teen can begin to understand the connection between the brain and the body and use this information to improve their symptoms and begin to take control of their life. While these approaches are research-based, we tailor each treatment plan to the unique needs of the individual and do not take a “one size fits all approach.”

We believe the highest quality of care requires a team approach that involves patient, parents, teachers, and other healthcare providers. Providers at NOVA PS have years of experience working in hospital-based multidisciplinary programs. Additional consultative services include collaboration with schools/school-based personnel through conference calls or in-person meetings after proper consent has been signed.
