Licensed Psychologist Opportunities

Position: Licensed Clinical Psychologist

NOVA Psychological Services is a growing pediatric psychology/behavioral health practice located in Vienna, VA (in the heart of Tyson’s corner and near The Boro). We are currently recruiting a part-time or full-time licensed psychologist with experience working in academic medical setting/hospital-based training programs. We are seeking psychologists who have experience providing treatment using a biopsychosocial framework, and are familiar with a broad range of health/medical conditions and their treatments, as well as co-occurring stress, anxiety, and mood disorders. We value integrated behavioral care and providers who thrive in collaborative/team environments.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice in VA (immediately); with long-term goal to obtain license to practice in MD & DC. Consideration will be given to soon-to-be licensed providers

  • PsyD or PhD 

  • Ability to work independently, yet collaborate with integrated team members

  • Strong consideration given to psychologist trained in academic medical setting with pediatric health and strong experience in evidence-based therapies including CBT, PF-CBT, ACT, DBT, TF-CBT, & SPACE

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, young adults, and caregivers with medical/physical and functional conditions including but not limited to: chronic pain conditions such as  headaches and gastrointestinal conditions, functional neurological disorders (FND), concussions, epilepsy, sleep disorders as well as general psychological conditions including anxiety, depression, and ADHD

  • Participate in weekly team meetings 

  • Participate in monthly peer-to-peer supervision meetings

  • Collaborate with other providers to ensure optimal outcomes for patients and families 

  • Contribute to an innovative and engaging professional environment
